Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
Expert Built turns a description of your business into a written brief that you paste into an AI website builder. We do not build, host, or operate any website. Even so, the brief is something we produce on request, so there are businesses we will not write one for.
1. Child safety
We have zero tolerance for any material or request that sexualises a minor or places a minor in an adult, intimate or exploitative context. This includes child sexual abuse material in any form, real or synthetic, and any dating, companionship or adult-content service involving anyone under 18.
This is a hard block, not a judgement call. Any submission of this kind is refused outright: nothing is generated, and nothing is passed to any downstream builder or third party. Where our screening is uncertain, it refuses. Refusals of this kind are recorded for review. Businesses forchildren, such as nurseries, schools, paediatric clinics, children's photographers and children's sports clubs, are entirely welcome and are unaffected.
If you encounter anything of this nature connected to Expert Built, report it to support@expertbuilt.com immediately.
2. Prohibited categories
We will not produce a website brief for a business in any of the following categories. This list mirrors the acceptable use requirements of our payment provider.
- Child sexual abuse material and sexualisation of minors. Any material or service that sexualises a minor, presents a minor in an adult or intimate context, or facilitates access to or contact with minors for such purposes. This includes child sexual abuse material in any form, real or synthetic, and dating, companionship or adult-content services involving anyone under 18. This is refused outright and is never a judgement call.
- Impersonation of a third party or their brand. Presenting a business as another company's official website, support desk, help centre, account or billing channel, or as an authorised representative without authorisation. This includes fake technical-support and account-verification pages, and passing off another party's brand, name or identity as your own. Servicing, reselling or teaching a product you are open about not owning is a separate matter and is judged on its own terms.
- Hate, extremism and terrorism. Content or organisations promoting hatred, harassment or violence against people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age; terrorist and violent-extremist groups, their propaganda, merchandise or fundraising; and paramilitary or militia recruitment.

3. How this is enforced
Every description submitted to Expert Built is screened before anything is generated. The screen runs in two layers: an immediate check against a list of prohibited terms, and a review of the description by an automated classifier. If either layer places your business in a prohibited category, we refuse the request, tell you which category applied, and point you back to this page. Nothing is generated and nothing is sent onward.
4. If you think we got it wrong
The screen is automated, so it can be wrong. If your business was refused and you believe it does not belong to any category above, email support@expertbuilt.com with a description of what you do and we will review it.
5. Your own obligations
Passing our screen is not approval of your business. You remain responsible for the website you build, for the accuracy of what you publish on it, and for holding any licence or registration your activity requires. Your hosting provider and your payment provider apply their own policies, which may be stricter than this one.
6. Changes
We may update this policy as the requirements we operate under change. The version on this page is always the one in force.
